The 2026 “Spirits of Pittsboro’s Past” walking tour blends Chatham County’s rich heritage with stories and legends\, presented by costumed interpreters portraying figures from the town’s past.  The journey begins at the historic courthouse and winds through old cemeteries\, churches\, and hidden corners\, with each stop offering a window into the people and moments that shaped Pittsboro.\nTours will be held on Friday\, October 23\, Saturday\, October 24\, and Sunday\, October 25.
