StoryBrand Marketing Workshop

Friday, September 12, 2025 (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Have you ever felt that potential clients don’t really “get” what your business does?

Ever stumbled over your words when trying to answer the question “So what do you do?”

Wondering what it takes to produce a clear marketing message that attracts buyers?

A powerful story — one that resonates with your prospects and spurs them to action — is what separates great marketing from the competition.

Mark Tosczak, a marketing strategist and fractional CMO, has been helping businesses, nonprofits and universities tell their stories in compelling ways for decades.

During this workshop, he’ll walk you through the seven elements of successful marketing messages, based on the timeless principles of story. Then he’ll help you write a personal marketing message - a one-liner - that enables you to quickly and clearly explain the value you and your business deliver.

Mark uses the principles and practices of StoryBrand, based on the #1 Wall Street Journal bestseller Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller. Mark has trained on StoryBrand principles with Miller and his team and is a StoryBrand Certified Guide and Coach.

Mark is the founder and chief strategist of Flying Car Strategies — a marketing agency that helps small businesses make more money by clarifying their message and implementing strategic marketing systems. For 30-plus years — as a journalist, communications professional and marketer — Mark has been telling meaningful stories to the audiences that matter. He’s worked with small businesses, Fortune 500 corporations, leading universities, and local and global nonprofits.

Mark is also a Cialdini Certified Practitioner of Ethical Influence. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from N.C. State University and an MBA from Elon University. He has also taught marketing and strategic communications at Elon University.

To get the most out of this workshop, you should bring:

● A pencil or pen.

● Your questions about marketing.

● A willingness to try something new. You’ll have a chance to experiment with it immediately in a low-risk environment.
