Join NC State Parks and the US Army Corps of Engineers for their 2nd Annual Bald EagleFest at Jordan Lake on Sat, Jan 24, 8am-12pm. Jordan Lake is home to at least 25 nesting pairs of bald eagles. In the winter dozens of migratory eagles congregate below the dam, a fantastic sight to see!

If you've ever been curious about our area's nesting population or ad no idea Bald Eagles lived so close to you until you read this post , please come out and learn everything there is to know Bald Eagles. There will be informational booths, activities, and games, and most importantly, no admission fee! The festival will be held at the B. Everett Jordan Lake Dam, Tailrace, and Visitor Assistance Center, Please check their website and Facebook Page for the Most up0to-date information.
