NC History Book Club: Between the Lines

Saturday, February 21, 2026 (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM) (EST)

Description

The Chatham County Historical Association is proud to host NC History Between the Lines, a monthly book club that examines North Carolina’s rich past through engaging non-fiction books. Whether you’re a lifelong history lover or are simply curious about the people and events that shaped our state, we invite you to join us for conversation and lively discussion at our monthly book club meetings. Our February selection is Soul City: Race, Equality, and the Lost Dream of an American Utopia, by Thomas Healy. It’s a fascinating, little-known and ultimately heart-breaking story of a 1970s attempt to create a city dedicated to racial equality in the North Carolina countryside. When: Saturday, February 21 at 9:30am Where: Chatham Historic Courthouse, 9 Hillsboro St., Pittsboro, 27312 All are welcome, and admission is free.
