Description

A Mindful Unity Walk and Celebration! On Saturday, June 13, 2026, community members from every walk of life are invited to celebrate Chatham County’s Race Amity Day, a national observance dedicated to fostering understanding, respect, and cooperation among all people. This year’s theme, “We Walk This Path Together,” brings together history, fellowship, and unity.

The day begins at 9:30 AM with a Mindful Unity Walk from Pittsboro’s Pop-Up Park (50 W. Salisbury Street). Participants will walk together through downtown, accompanied by live Peruvian music to George Moses Horton Middle School (79 South Horton Street, Pittsboro).

Hosted by Partners in Racial Justice and community supporters, everyone is invited! This annual event is designed to celebrate the oneness of mankind and to cultivate meaningful conversations that inspire hearts and minds.

All events are free and open to the public.
