Samhain (pronounced SOW-in) marks the turning from harvest season toward winter. In the traditional Irish calendar, it falls on November 1, with celebrations beginning the evening before. As the days grow shorter, Samhain offers a moment to reflect on what has ended, remember those who came before us, and welcome the quiet of the season ahead.
