Don’t miss the chance to see history come alive before your eyes—just in time for Halloween! Take a walk through downtown Pittsboro for an evening filled with local folklore and historical reenactments. The Chatham County Historical Association’s “Spirits of Pittsboro’s Past" 2025 Walking Tour blends Chatham County’s rich heritage with stories and legends, presented by costumed interpreters portraying figures from the town’s past.
The journey begins at the historic courthouse and winds through old cemeteries, churches, and hidden corners, with each stop offering a window into the lives of the people and moments that shaped Pittsboro.
Tour Dates: Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19. Tickets are $25 for CCHA members; $30 for non-members. Collected monies help support our history museum. Spaces are limited.
