While money cannot buy happiness, it is a source of pride and accomplishment and fuels the aspirations we have for our families. I was raised modestly in a Navy family. I began my career as a mechanical engineer in California and completed my MBA at Duke in North Carolina. I worked in the high-tech world in many product and management roles for over two decades, but while I enjoyed that business, my true passion was coaching people financially, which I have done for over 18 years through volunteer work and at Edward Jones. I positively impact families, and it is why I love what I do.

I am married to my wife, Krista, and we have four children (Collin, Mairead, Liam and Gavin) from 29 to 18 years old. I find understanding families and incorporating family goals is usually central to most of my clients. Balancing family desires and retirement can be tricky but is core to how I help my clients solve their financial picture.

In my process, first I want to understand what is important to you to help create a plan for financial security to live richly by spending time with family and friends, building your business or pursuing your passions. Next, I use an established process to build customized strategies to help you achieve your short- and long-term goals, and I will partner with you to help keep you on track.

As part of the experience at my branch, you will also get to know Desi Sturdivant, my senior branch office administrator. Together, Desi and I will help you get organized, build your wealth, protect your wealth and even plan transferring your wealth. We work as your dedicated team and treat your privacy and client experience seriously.
