The Regional Transportation Alliance is the voice of the regional business community on transportation. RTA delivers business leadership to get our region moving faster by identifying opportunities, providing focus, and building consensus with regional partners to get results. We leverage the strength of 100 leading member companies and 24 member chambers of commerce working in concert with our regional transportation partners to advance strategic, innovative mobility solutions. Ongoing focus areas and goals: •Reduce congestion and traffic delay • Enhance transit and multimodal solutions •Support efficient freight and commerce •Advance higher speed rail service •Strengthen RDU airport and air service •Lobby for effective policy and funding It takes strong business leadership, powerful advocacy, and public-private sector alignment to sustain support for priorities that can be jeopardized by funding limitations, long timelines, and competing interests. RTA has been successful in accelerating regional transportation priorities, policies, and practices for more than 15 years to enhance our economy and quality of life.
